Legal Services For Elderly People

Whilst older people do divorce much of our family work is conducted for people up to middle age but the need for legal support within families doesn't end there, it just takes a different direction.

With age comes a whole new range of issues that are understandably unwelcome as they relate to succession, death, family inheritance and personal ability to control ones life, assets, health and other responsibilities. In the end all these issues have to be dealt with but often, as they seem complicated and confusing, they are left to others to decide what happens. These others can be remaining family or the state or a combination of both.

It doesn't have to be this way! In fact it is never too early to start.

With help and planning all issues that confront us in the final stages of our lives can be defined and sorted out by us whilst we still have the freedom of mind and spirit to make these important decisions. Unfortunately, time is the enemy in this regard and the longer we leave it the more difficult it is to keep full control.

Your close family is of course always a great comfort and help but all too often those you intend to rely upon can cause additional unwelcome pressures when you try to ensure that family members (sometimes predatory) do not manage to gain undue financial advantage over others by capitalising on your situation.

It is never too early to plan and then revise plans as circumstances develop so the best approach is to plan your future when you are in good health so that your express wishes are followed later when you may not be so fortunate.

A consultation with us will bring peace of mind and a sense of security in your latter years. We can assist in the follow areas:-

Wills - Tax planning - Probate - Enduring Powers of Attorney

Lasting powers of Attorney - Trusts - Guardians - Administration of Estates

Financial Planning - State Benefits - Court of Protection - Health Care Planning
