PERSONAL COACHING
Coaching is a catalyst for change. It is a method of personal development, highly focused on you. It is important to understand that a coach is not a counsellor, mentor or therapist.
In these busy times, information and advice is everywhere. We are surrounded by people talking to us but how many people really listen. I mean really, really listen on a deep and attentive level, focusing solely on us without half a mind on what they want to say next.
As your coach I will listen: you will get my full and undivided attention.
Coaches can be generalists or work in specialist areas. As a divorce and separation specialist, I only coach on relationship issues. In this context, relationship coaching can be seen as an early stage in the separation process. Coaching is also very effective for people who have been divorced and are struggling to put their lives back together again. Children who have been involved in a family breakdown can also benefit.
Insights following a coaching session can sometimes radically change your outlook. One thing is for sure; following a series of coaching sessions your attitude to your relationship problems will change, as you will see through the clutter and be better prepared for what is to come. Clarity is strength.
As your coach I will be available when you need me (within reason). Most sessions are conducted over the phone in pre-booked sessions, which typically last no longer than 45 minutes. (Indeed this is often preferable to face to face sessions as only the words are the issue not other visual distractions) These sessions can be at a time to suit you and are often out of office hours. Once we have established a relationship, I will be available for emergencies or just when you need a quick discussion.
Coaching is a science in that it works by following a well-proven and researched set of procedures and communication techniques. A coach will support you totally but will never impose their own views on you. A coach is an expert on coaching but you and only you are an expert on you. The process is all about helping you to come to your own well-informed decisions about your life. You have the answers that are right for you, within you and you just need structured help to find them.
If you think that coaching could help you please call me or come in for a free initial discussion and I will explain in greater detail how coaching can benefit you.
